Urban Family Session

You might recognize this family because they grace the front page of my website! They scheduled to update their yearly family portraits and to have a little fun together. We actually enjoyed one of the FEW cool days we have had this year so far. I'm running behind in posting sessions and they have already seen their full gallery!

However, I try to make sure each family gets a little BLOG LOVE.

I OFTEN get lots of questions about choosing clothing for your session and this family is a GREAT example of coordinating their clothing to fit the personalities and the look they want for their session.

Fall Family Portraits

I'm afraid the little bit we may see of fall is here! The leaves are changing so quickly and I don't think it will last very long! We have really enjoyed getting to know this family over the last several years...I photographed their oldest since she was a year old! This time we decided to meet early in the morning and I brought my secret weapon....my husband. This precious one immediately warmed up and they went on all kinds of adventures during our session. He spoke her language I guess and we captured some great images!


The light was just gorgeous as it came up through the trees!

This sweet one just turned ONE! It is such a fun age....she was a little timid at first, but warmed up pretty quickly!


She had a big birthday party later in the day and we had to grab a few pictures in her owl dress. LOVE IT!


I LOVE these of mom and dad! Gorgeous light and colors...and a great couple!

The Newest Big Brother!

I'm so behind on posting images but I wanted to make sure that I get this posted today. This is a big day for this family and I want to give the "BIG" brother a little love! Today is the day that he will become a big brother! We met up last week to capture some images of him being TWO! That's a pretty big deal for such a little guy. I haven't seen him since last year when he was SOOO smiley. I had high expectations for me and he didn't disappoint! Now, he is two and is active and on the go but he gave us some great laughs.

As I mentioned I believe that he became a big brother today to a little sister. I wanted to make sure to get this post up for him today. I'm sure he will embrace his role fully after a few days of adjustment to sharing mom and dad! :)

We decided to walk around downtown this year and it was perfect for a curious little guy!


A session wouldn't be complete without playing the tickle game....and he loved getting to tickle ME!


I love those big blue eyes he has.....captivated and full of life!


We made sure to capture one last picture of the family of three....and I love that...treasuring their last few days of just the three of them! However, now it's already time to update the family portrait! :)


This next part is true lifestyle photography. Often I will play a little music to capture a child's attention. This little guy took it to the next level. He grabbed a stick and started to preform for us! I was dying laughing!
Dancing along the sidewalk no less!



Priceless memories that will make you smile for years to come! I love the little things about kids and watching the way their personalities work! This is the best job ever!

Beautiful Twin Girls {Paducah Baby Photographer}

These two precious girls were so much fun to photograph! I couldn't believe how easy they both were. We got so many smiles, eye contact, and they are even pushing up so well! They each snoozed a little while their sister was modeling but in the end the day turned out beautifully!

We have been praying for these little ones for months....their family is precious to us and apart of our church family! Mom was on bed rest for several months but it did the trick because they held on until the very end!

At the very end they even gave a picture together!

Quick Peek {Paducah Senior Photographer}

Just a quick peek for a beautiful senior. I can't wait to blog more of her session but wanted to assure her that we captured some BEAUTIFUL images!






I just have to say that this field is GORGEOUS with purple and yellow flowers! I was so happy to have a girl to take to photograph here! If you are interested call me ASAP...it won't last long!

Family Session {Paducah Family Photographer}

I was excited to get the opportunity to meet up with this family last week to get some family portraits as well as some of just them and their son! It was a lot of fun to change things up a little bit and get to do a session with an older boy. Most of our sessions involve either toddlers or seniors but it's fun to get the in between! He is 10 and was such a polite and courteous boy. I really enjoyed figuring out what made him laugh (Turns out it was pretty simple...thanks to Dad!) and getting to capture his natural smile.

They decided they wanted to go with more of an urban look so we headed downtown! It offers so many options!

FUN Senior Session {Reidland High School}

Today was fun! I was blessed to photograph this sweet, fun senior at some property of a friend of hers. It was beautiful and we had a great time exploring lots of different areas of their land. She wanted something different and I think we got it!

I can't pick favorites because I love all kinds of things about different ones. The light was just gorgeous today and made it fun to play with some different setups!

Rather than keep talking, let's get to what everyone wants to see. This was one of the first images we took....I knew it was going to be a fun day!


As we walked towards our destination the road begged us to stop and photograph a little.


This jacket fits her and her personality perfectly! Apparently, she got to do a little shopping (who doesn't love an excuse to shop!).

I think I gasped out loud when I saw these on my camera....I just knew they looked amazing!



The color, the light, the smile...everything is perfect!



Her guitar is like another appendage so we incorporated it ALOT! I love guitars and senior sessions...it's so fun!
