Boys will be boys

Boys will be boys ... but we will have a good time while they do it! We had a perfect night after one of those afternoon down pours to capture these boys. They were a lot of fun and Mike kept them laughing. They were up for anything so we did lots of different things .

Here's a few of them seperately.

I loved the texture on this one. He is about to turn 13....

They were so cooperative, I was impressed! And photogenic if I do say so myself.

A little bit of fun...

Big brother got sunglasses for his birthday and his little brother begged to have a photograph of him in his sunglasses. They look pretty intimidating. :)

We were pretty much done when I grabbed this one. They were goofing off together. Little brother mimics everything his older brother does. It was pretty cute to watch.

Thanks guys for being such great subjects. We had fun!

Intrigued.   This precious little guy made us WORK for his smiles.  He knows our game and knows we will keep acting goofy if he doesn't smile a lot.  So he did just that.  Kept that straight face and stared us down.  He would smile before I picked up the camera and after I put it down but not much while I was holding it but he is PRECIOUS.  I could just eat him up.  This is the fourth time to photograph him this year and I dread to see the year come to an end.  He has a great family and he has the best expressions ever!

We had to do this in two different segments.  We tried early morning but he was just tooooo tired.  Mom says this is typically his best time but not on Monday.  He knew it was a holiday and meant for resting.  So we met back up after nap time and dodged all the rain.  Both times the clouds were perfect so we were able to get beautiful light.

Thank you so much for giving me the honor!

Such a ladies man....

He just got right into a pose.

I feel like he is saying, "Seriously?  You want me to do what?"

Such an honor.  I love this part of my job!

I hope you guys have a great vacation!  Enjoy your little man.

Beautiful Night

This sweet family has had their session scheduled for several months. I have been privileged to photograph several of their cousins so I was really looking forward to meeting them. They didn't disappoint. Sweet girls, precious smiles, cute giggles, amazing parents, and a talented assistant.

I don't get to have my assistant, Mr. Mike (aka ... my amazing husband), with me for every session but I always love it when I do. He is awesome at making the kids and adults laugh. He really does go the extra mile and the kiddos really warm up to him. I am so grateful for the ways that he supports me. Tonight we had to work extra hard to get smiles from the little one and he didn't let me down. He has a way with children.

We were racing against the rain drops but we finished as I felt the first few come down. Aren't these precious interactions between these two sisters?

She is eight months old and loving the grass. She wanted to snack on it so bad but we preferred that she didn't.

She was looking forward to her ice cream but really liked performing for the camera. I never complain when they enjoy the camera.

Hope the ice cream was wonderful!

New Friends

This sweet family recently became friends through our church. A few weeks ago they welcomed their second child into their family. I was honored to be asked to document her arrival into the family. Despite only being 7 days old, she decided modeling was hard work. We still captured some beautiful images that I know they will treasure for years to come. We even snuck in a few of the family and her big sister!

Long Time, No Pictures

on the blog that is....

I have no excuses. I have many sessions to blog but I have been trying to get the galleries up so quickly I haven't taken the time to blog them!

This little girl has been photographed by us since before she was born and she is HILARIOUS!  She reminds  me a lot of my niece with her spunkiness.  She was a trooper as she hadn't had a nap the day of our session.  You never know how that will turn out, but for us it was okay.  These are just a few of the priceless expressions she gave us.

Classic, huh?

Austin - Marshall County Senior

NOTE:  I am out of town this week and may not have easy access to email.  Please bear with me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  If you need to place an order go ahead and we will get it processed.

It's hard to describe how much fun this session was.  It was the culmination of sessions for all our seniors at our church.  I feel so honored to have been able to document such a momentous occasion for all of them.  They all have unique gifts and talents and I can't wait to see what they accomplish.

Austin was a ton of fun as we wandered through different alleys and streets.  Between he and Mike we laughed a ton but still were able to capture some great images.  He made my job easy and fun.  The difficult part was narrowing it down after the fact.  Here's the proof that we were successful.

This was Mike's idea..... I love it!

Love the car...

I'm still in the process of catching up.  Check back soon for more fun!
