One Year

I have to admit I was a little sad on Monday as I met this family.  This is the 5th time for me to see them during this first year of their babies life!  Newborn, three months, six months, nine months.Wow, even I'm blown away.  I am honored to have the opportunity to be part of such a special time and I will miss seeing you every 3 months so I guess we might just have to get together even if we aren't taking photos!

Once again, he didn't disappoint.  He is on the go and walking well but we just went with it!  I think it all worked out.  Enjoy!

Smiles all around as long as he got to do what he wanted.

As soon as mom told me about his overalls I had this shot in my mind, but the field I use for this stuff was recently mowed (I was devastated).  However, I just found another place and it's even a more convenient location!

This is exactly what I was hoping for!

This one is specifically for his momma.  She saw it on my camera and fell in love.  Can't you see why?

The blessings all mine!  Let the comments commence..... get this momma her complimentary print.

Family Time

This weekend I finally got to visit my sister and her family in Oklahoma.  This little guy was born 4 weeks ago and I was itching to meet him and play with his sister.  I loved my day and a half that I got to snuggle him, giggle with his sis, and hang out with my sister.  I hate that I don't get to see them as often.  We spent lots of our weekend taking pictures so I can't help but show them off for the rest of our family to see.    Being that Maddox is already 4 weeks old, he was a little more difficult to catch sleeping.  But we persevered and came up with these images.

My sister is doing his room in guitars so this will look good hanging up big in his room.

Here's his sister.. she's a riot!  I laughed all weekend.  She talks NONSTOP!  These pictures look so much like my sister's baby pictures.  I wish I had some digital copies to show you.  This is probably my FAVORITE!!!

Her daddy is a personal training and she is already a master at her workout. Here she is doing her pushups.

Patrick wanted a family picture and so this is what we came up with...isn't it adorable?

More of this precious beauty...

We rewarded her work with letting her play in the fountain ... she wasn't sure at first but quickly caught on!  Hilarious images....pure joy.

Thanks for indulging me.  I love getting to see them and it doesn't happen often enough.  Please come visit???

Love ya!

Full of Personality

This beauty was easy from the moment she stepped out of her car. She was instantly excited and not shy one bit! I had never even met her before. She had been preparing all week as we had been rained out two consecutive days prior. However, the day we got was gorgeous. We met up at a park that they frequent regularly and it was fun to change things up a bit for me. It was such a pleasure to spend an evening with this doll.

I love curly hair and she had gorgeous locks. See? I'm not kidding this was the first image I took. I was just making sure my settings were right and I got this. I knew it was going to be fun!

She was so focused for the first hour. I'm usually happy if I get 15-20 minutes before kids lose their focus. But even after she got silly, we captured precious images.

Gorgeous light!

I'm having fun using some new textures. Some images just call for it. I thought this was one of them.

I want this one really big in canvas. I love the emotion of her twirling in the field. There were even bees out there but she still got this before we fled the scene!

The sun hitting her curls is just amazing. I couldn't ask for a better model! She and her mom had coordinated all her accessories and had bracelets for each outfit. I could tell they put a lot of thought into her session and I love that!

Good luck in kindergarten sweet girl.... you will do great!

Keep those comments coming...I love getting to give the complimentary 4x6 for getting 10 comments!

Growing Up

This handsome boy is a regular around our home. His family has become very dear to us in the last four years. Kev is a great kid and we feel honored to know him. He is extremely helpful and willing to serve in many different arenas. I can only hope that there are more teenagers out there like him. We haven't photographed him in almost 2 years so it was time. We enjoyed an hour with him on Monday night. I think I will stop there so I don't embarrass him anymore! Thanks for all you do for us Kev....we appreciate you!

Mike says this is is solo drum album cover.

Another Day in Paradise

Wow....do we really live in Kentucky?  This weather is just amazing.  I am so happy that I had a great excuse to be out in it.  This little beauty is now 6 months old.  I can't believe it!  She was a precious little newborn last time I saw her.   We met up again tonight and it was so enjoyable. Her mom and dad are great parents and so fun to spend time with.  You should have seen us all out in their yard being silly to get the smiles out of her.  I think she was getting quite a kick out of it.

I LOVED THIS!!! If anyone can find me one of these I will owe you so big!  I would give you a free session to get my hands on something like this.  Her mom told me a family member found it at a yard sale so keep your eyes out and you could benefit!  Isn't it adorable?

I hear that the grandmothers requested this little dress with her in the grass.  Check and Check.

Daddy's other baby is his mustang.  How fun to photograph them in front of it.  Her onesie says "I love my daddy's mustang".

My original idea was some bubbles in this tub....however it was barely 70 degrees when we took these.  In July.  I can't believe it.

Thank you so much for allowing us the honor.  I love getting to see these little ones grow up!

Leave your comments and mom will get a complimentary 4x6 when the post gets 10 comments.

AMAZING July Weather

This sweet family couldn't have ordered better weather for their little one's birthday session.  His party is tomorrow and it looks like they are going to get a perfect day then as well.  Thought I would start the celebration day for them with a few wonderful images of their precious boy.  I have been photographing him since he was in the womb and again when he was just a few weeks old.  It was great to see how big he has gotten over the last twelve months.

A beautiful family....

This little guy is walking and isn't still for long!

Look at those blue eyes ..... I didn't do anything to enhance them... it's just the way they are.

Happy baby......

So this family said they could easily get more than 10 comments.  I just want to see! :)

Busy Bee

This little girl was a busy, busy bee as most 2 year olds are. However, she was very personable, polite, and talkative. She was a delight to spend an hour with playing and taking some time to capture the expressions and curiosity. She brought mom and dad along and they were fun to work with as well.

I chose 3 very different example as a peek....you can tell from just these few that she is full of expression. Such a fun evening. Thanks again for allowing me to capture these moments. What a gift!

It worked so well last time, let's do it again. 10 comments get this momma a complimentary 4x6!

Beautiful Weather + Gorgeous Family = Perfect Evening

I have heard about this family for several years.  We have several mutual friends but we had never met.  That all changed a few weeks ago and I am so glad.  They are a beautiful family inside and out.  Mom and I have been making plans for about a month for their session.  We couldn't have had a better night!  It had finally cooled off and there were very few bugs out even.  These little girls are full of energy and kept us on our toes!

I feel like we have gained new friends and I love it!  I hope we have many more opportunities to hang out together.

Can't you just see the fun and personality?  They really loved being together.

We had to work hard for her smiles but daddy helped us out and she turned on the charm.

I love the feel of this image.  There is something serene about it.

These next two were mom's request.  She loved this particular diaper cover and I did too.  How cute is it?  This is such a great idea for kids this age.  I love their perfect skin and the way it photographs.

Thankfully, mom and dad wanted a few of just them.  They pretended they weren't good at it but the images scream something different.  I could have photographed them all day! Can't you see the emotion and love they share with one another!

If you have read this far, then you are about to learn of something I going to start trying.  If you get 10 comments on your sneak peak, I will give you a free 4x6.  Good luck!
