A Sneak Peak (and my Knight in Shining Armour)

I have to brag a little bit on my husband and give you a sneak peak into what a session can look like for your child. Mike doesn't get to come to every session because he often has conflicting obligations. However, I love it when he does. There is just a different dynamic when he is there and he is gaining quite the reputation among my customers. He often keeps everyone laughing (sometimes the parents more than the kids). He is confident and comfortable in who he is and doesn't mind being silly. On Tuesday night my client's parents and I were grateful for this side of him. See, this 2 1/2 year old (as 2 year olds are known to do) decided she wasn't really in the mood to have pictures taken after they arrived at our location. Her mom had done everything right and had been talking about our session with her for several days and she had been excited. In addition to her decision a thunderstorm seemed like it was moving in. I thought for sure we would need to reschedule.

She wasn't easy to win over cause she looked like this.....and had quite a scowl on her face. If I came near with the camera she scowled even harder.

[Insert Mike]
Mike begins to work his magic. He plays peek-a-boo, breaks out his Elmo and Mickey Mouse voice, and then decides to practice his ballet. This seems to do the trick. I was forever indebted to him ..... (and I captured these)

Wouldn't you laugh? But seriously, how many men are willing to do this for their wife? I really do have the best husband. This wasn't the end of it though. He continued to roll on the ground and do whatever this sweet little girl wanted him to do. He won her heart! Soon he had her doing this....

and this....

She didn't even get upset when the "princesses" didn't answer the door.

All traces of her scowl are gone...

Thanks again for allowing us the opportunity to "win" your little girl over!

*Don't forget to comment. I really enjoy giving the complimentary 4x6 for getting 10 comments on your blog post!
