Birthday Boy

I must celebrate a very special little man today. One year ago today he was welcomed into this world by his mom, dad, and big sister. We captured these images when he was just a few weeks old. I wish I was able to be celebrating with him in Oklahoma but unfortunately it didn't work out this time. This is one of those occasions that I hate living so far away without easy access to travel and unlimited funds! :)

Thankfully, I was able to spend several days with him, his mom and his sister a few weeks ago while helping my mom recover from surgery. We snuck away to the park one evening and had a quick session.

It's amazing how big he has gotten and how expressive he has become. He's drooling buckets as he works on more teeth but I love that about this age! He is so curious and wants to explore EVERYTHING! He loves to talk and this boy doesn't have any problem putting away food. From what I understand he is obsessed with golf clubs right now which I know makes his daddy happy.

It's amazing how much he looks like his sister at this age. I can't wait to watch his personality continue to develop as he grows up.








We are so blessed to have you Maddox and can't wait to watch you grow up! Uncle Mike and I love you and are thinking of you on your big birthday!

I was honored to photograph a special couple today as they committed their lives to one another. As I downloaded images I couldn't help but grab one for them to see before they head out on their honeymoon.

Summer is Here!

As most of you know the heat and humidity of summer is definitely here! The last few days have been pretty warm and humid! That never stops us from photographing....we just bring more fun to do to keep our mind off the temps. Beautiful little girls like this one make the time outdoors totally worth it! I love capturing their adorable smiles and giggles and most of the time the heat doesn't phase them.

This little one just laughed and cut up with us the majority of the session.....and it was so fun! She has gotten so big since I saw her back in December here. This might be my favorite age (at least at the moment) because their personality is just exploding!

I think she was waving at us!


I'm always a goner for eyes but recently I have loved it when the smiles are so big their eyes are almost closing. It's just a sign they are having a GREAT time!


Thanks for braving the heat....it was totally worth it!

One Year!

This little beauty is one year old. Wow. It has been an amazing year watching her grow in 3 month increments, newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and finally her one year portraits below! I am so blessed to get to meet and know such great families when I photograph the first year of a child's life. The memories that are preserved are priceless and I hear that all the time. It really hits after the one year session and mom goes back to look at their teeny tiny newborn pictures and can't believe how big their baby is now.

This little one was just precious once again!





We had a blast and I can't wait for the next milestone so we can do it again!

Summertime {Paducah Children's Photography}

It's summertime in Kentucky! The weather is getting warmer but that doesn't keep us from capturing fabulous images of kids and families. We continue to work regardless of the heat and kids don't seem to mind it as much as us adults do. This duo was just precious. He is ALL boy and she was a precious girl sporting her BIG bows!




I just love little hands and feet and couldn't help but post it. Aren't they just precious?

I Heart My Assistant :)

I can't brag enough about how much I love my assistant! I really have been blessed with the best husband in the world. He is 100% supportive and willing to help me out as often as he is able.

At this session I look over while photographing the parents and find him in the midst of all the kids having a great time. This little guy had no fear in walking up and standing on Mike's shoulders! He is often the magic to capturing the perfect fun images....everyone just loves his silly, fun, personable nature. I wish he could accompany me to EVERY session!

A Quick Peek

I wanted to make sure to post this quick peek for mom! This is our second session together and the girls are getting so big as seems to happen with all the kiddo's we photograph! We had a beautiful evening and we enjoyed exploring a new area. Big sister was so fun and animated! She was such a big help with her little sister. I just loved their matching outfits and they photographed so well against the lush green landscapes that are everywhere right now!




I love it when families return to update their portraits! I couldn't ask for a better compliment!
