2 in 1

So this is a twofer special! Two sessions in one blog! Both of these sweet girls were photographed yesterday. This has been a fun weekend of hanging out with new little girls and their parents. I feel so honored to spend several hours with new little families. It takes much longer to complete a newborn session than any other session .... you have to stop for feedings, diaper changes, and some cuddles. However, the sooner you have the session the easier it is! I joke that I will meet you at home when you leave the hospital but it isn't far off. The first 7 days is ideal, but doable within the first 10-14 days. So if you would like to do something like this for your own newborn call before your due date and I will tentatively put you on the schedule and then we can finalize it after delivery.

Okay, enough talking. The first precious baby was actually 3 weeks old and we got lucky because she slept quite a bit for us! Her mom and dad are beyond thrilled as they have been hoping for a family for several years. We are connected with them several ways so it was a lot of fun to get to know mom better. Dad is on the road with his job so this is his first peek! :)

My second session of the day is the daughter of a family I have loved getting to know the last few months. After spending several hours with them I feel like they are good friends. We enjoyed talking about all kinds of things and especially this sweet little miracle. Mom was on bedrest for several weeks but it all paid off in a healthy delivery, a week early no less! She was 7 days old and wanted to be in on the excitement. That's okay cause we waited her out and she couldn't stay awake forever. Once we started making all kinds of noise she konked out. I love daddy hands as you see in the first one.

In the second you can see a gorgeous throw that was on their couch. I love getting to use items that are personal to each family!

I can't wait to show you the next one tomorrow! Stay tuned!

I love when you use those personal touches, too!
