Poppy Dip

Often people ask what they should wear for sessions and I am happy to give some suggestions depending on the kind of session that is scheduled. I want to try to pass along more suggestions along these lines. In our adoption process I have come across a family that is trying to raise money to bring their children home. In the process, the mom has started making dresses that are SUPER CUTE. I love supporting great causes that are helping to bring children to their forever families!

As an early birthday present (because I really wanted to buy a dress) I ordered one for this sweet girl. I thought it might be weird to order one for myself. :)

The cool thing is that she will also make a matching dress for your child's doll! Let me tell you...it was a hit! You pick the fabric and she sews it right up and ships it right to you!

You can find her website here... http://itspoppydip.blogspot.com/

If you want to order a dress and schedule a session, that's even better!

Almost a Family of Three!

This sweet couple is expecting their first bundle of joy in a few weeks! I loved getting the opportunity to spend a few hours with them this week and hear a little about the story of their relationship. I love to hear about how two people meet, fall in love, and decide to grow that love by adding children to their lives! Families grow, stories expand, and memories shared.

We ventured out to a field and they allowed me to have fun with a new setting! Thanks for trusting me to capture great images of the two of you.

This just feels so romantic and exciting.

I can't wait to meet your sweet little one and share new stories together!

The Full Post {Paducah Family Photography}

This great family invited me to photograph them at their home and we were blessed with a gorgeous night! They have a great big backyard and the light was awesome for their session! Everyone in the family cooperated and they will have some awesome images to choose from! I was flying solo on this evening (I didn't have my amazing husband) and I worried for no reason! The kids had great smiles and we got some great family images!

Four years old is a magical age! She loved laughing with me and we were able to really capture her personality.

He wasn't sure about the grass at first but as soon as we got a blanket, a toy, and a few songs life was great again!

Another image I couldn't resist throwing in. Isn't this childhood at it's essence?

One last family image.....gorgeous!

Thanks again for your great hospitality!

Little Man

This little man brought his parents and met up with me on Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed the great weather and he enjoyed walking all around downtown. He was especially partial to stairs so we found ourselves looking for any stairs we could find! :)

His mom and dad came along and he kept us all busy acting silly to try to break a smile out of this serious little man. It was a lot of fun though and we were successful in finding the smiles! That's really what matters.

His blue eyes were just amazing!

Flying with daddy is always a winner!

Love this black and white family image!

SMILES!!! Score one for the adults! :)

Thanks again! I'll have the rest of your gallery soon!

ONE YEAR OLD {PADUCAH CHILDREN'S PHOTOGRAPHER}

I know this sweet family has been anxiously waiting for their sneak peak. We are crazy busy with sessions, adoption fundraisers, and just trying to cram living life in so I appreciate all the grace that my customers extend. I LOVED seeing this little man a year later after his newborn pictures. He is on the GO but so FUN! We just walked and walked around downtime and he pulled out the smile time and time again!

We just connected and had fun singing songs, acting silly, and making faces to get lots of smiles! Thanks again for giving me the honor of capturing this chapter of your story.

Twin Blessings {Paducah Maternity Photographer}

This sweet momma scheduled with me weeks ago to make sure we got this session in before she got too far along since she is having TWINS! I was so excited and looking forward to our appointment and two weeks before our scheduled session she was put on bedrest. I just assumed we would have to cancel but she persevered! She was able to get privileges to get up for about an hour a day so we rearranged our plans and set up in their dining room so she would only have to be out of the recliner for minimal amount of time. They are expecting twin girls and their big brother was excited to tell me all about the babies! I loved being with him and seeing him express his love to his little sisters!

Isn't momma just radiant? These little girls have been prayed about for years and are the answers to the desires of their heart to add more children to their family.

A quiet moment....I don't think there will be too many of those to come in the next few months.

Isn't she gorgeous?!?! She was such a natural in front of the camera and the morning was such a blessing to me. I can't wait to hold those little girls after they are done "cooking" for SEVERAL more weeks!

Love. {Paducah Engagment Photography}

This sweet couple came home from college a few weekends ago so that we could do their engagement session. Our luck would have it that the day we scheduled called for rain ALL day. At the last minute we met a day early and grabbed the last hour of daylight we had and captured some great images of the two of them. Emily is an old pro in front of my camera since we just did her senior session a year ago but her fiance rocked his first time with us!

They are planning an October wedding and we couldn't be more excited! Without further ado....
