Life has been moving in fast forward the last 5 months...I seriously can't believe it has been 5 months since I posted.

However, our busiest time of year is here...and October blew us out of the water! I love getting to photograph children and families and this year is no different. Fall Family Portraits

I'm afraid the little bit we may see of fall is here! The leaves are changing so quickly and I don't think it will last very long! We have really enjoyed getting to know this family over the last several years...I photographed their oldest since she was a year old! This time we decided to meet early in the morning and I brought my secret weapon....my husband. This precious one immediately warmed up and they went on all kinds of adventures during our session. He spoke her language I guess and we captured some great images!

The light was just gorgeous as it came up through the trees!

A beautiful family portrait!

This sweet one just turned ONE! It is such a fun age....she was a little timid at first, but warmed up pretty quickly!

She had a big birthday party later in the day and we had to grab a few pictures in her owl dress. LOVE IT!

I LOVE these of mom and dad! Gorgeous light and colors...and a great couple!

The Full Post {Paducah Family Photography}

This great family invited me to photograph them at their home and we were blessed with a gorgeous night! They have a great big backyard and the light was awesome for their session! Everyone in the family cooperated and they will have some awesome images to choose from! I was flying solo on this evening (I didn't have my amazing husband) and I worried for no reason! The kids had great smiles and we got some great family images!

Four years old is a magical age! She loved laughing with me and we were able to really capture her personality.

He wasn't sure about the grass at first but as soon as we got a blanket, a toy, and a few songs life was great again!

Another image I couldn't resist throwing in. Isn't this childhood at it's essence?

One last family image.....gorgeous!

Thanks again for your great hospitality!

It is such an honor to be asked to capture these moments of lives, I just can't reiterate that enough! This is an incredibly busy time of the year. Please be patient with me if I am a little delayed in getting back you right now. I only have so many hours in the evening and am trying to balance it all!

I didn't want mom to have to wait any longer. This is another sweet girl that we are blessed to know through our church. We really enjoyed spending some time with her Sunday afternoon. We even got to hear all about her trip to Disney World....that she had just gotten home from. It was so much fun and we even scored a great day after a week of rain!

Be on the lookout for several more sneak peeks and a few other announcements as well!

Cooler Weather

These cute little girls kept me hopping on a pretty Sunday afternoon. I had the honor of capturing the little one last year for her one year portraits but this year I got to play with both girls! The little one is two years old now and on the go!

These chairs kept them occupied for quite awhile. It was a great set up!

Flowers help too... :)

Leaves were the key with big sister....

Something about this one grabs me. :)

What a great smile, don't you think?

Don't forget your comment!

Full of Personality

This beauty was easy from the moment she stepped out of her car. She was instantly excited and not shy one bit! I had never even met her before. She had been preparing all week as we had been rained out two consecutive days prior. However, the day we got was gorgeous. We met up at a park that they frequent regularly and it was fun to change things up a bit for me. It was such a pleasure to spend an evening with this doll.

I love curly hair and she had gorgeous locks. See? I'm not kidding this was the first image I took. I was just making sure my settings were right and I got this. I knew it was going to be fun!

She was so focused for the first hour. I'm usually happy if I get 15-20 minutes before kids lose their focus. But even after she got silly, we captured precious images.

Gorgeous light!

I'm having fun using some new textures. Some images just call for it. I thought this was one of them.

I want this one really big in canvas. I love the emotion of her twirling in the field. There were even bees out there but she still got this before we fled the scene!

The sun hitting her curls is just amazing. I couldn't ask for a better model! She and her mom had coordinated all her accessories and had bracelets for each outfit. I could tell they put a lot of thought into her session and I love that!

Good luck in kindergarten sweet girl.... you will do great!

Keep those comments coming...I love getting to give the complimentary 4x6 for getting 10 comments!

Busy Bee

This little girl was a busy, busy bee as most 2 year olds are. However, she was very personable, polite, and talkative. She was a delight to spend an hour with playing and taking some time to capture the expressions and curiosity. She brought mom and dad along and they were fun to work with as well.

I chose 3 very different example as a peek....you can tell from just these few that she is full of expression. Such a fun evening. Thanks again for allowing me to capture these moments. What a gift!

It worked so well last time, let's do it again. 10 comments get this momma a complimentary 4x6!

Behind AGAIN

I feel like I am always falling behind. Before I know it I realize that I should have blogged 4 days ago. I am grateful that things are so busy and I really love it. All that to say that I should have blogged this a week ago.

It was pretty hot on the day we met for this session. One of those 100 degree days with 100% humidity. I think we were all sweating when we were done but we sure had fun in the process.

This is just a sample of what we came away with!

I thought these shirts were so cute. They are designed to show the age of the child. LOVED IT!

This little guy is ON THE MOVE. He will be walking in no time. But he stopped every now and then to make us happy!

And of course one of the boys together. Aren't their outfits precious?

Sorry again that it took me a few days. Be on the lookout for several more post as I have a few sessions in the que.

Humidity and Curls

This little guy is the big brother to one of the sweet newborns that was featured here just a few weeks ago. We love this family and were excited to photograph this precious boy for his two year portraits. We had a lot of fun but it was HUMID. His little curls were in full force but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. Aren't they precious? Just like most 2 year old boys he was on the GO constantly but patience and hanging out pays off!

Neighbors

Since Mike and I married we have been blessed with fabulous neighbors.  When we lived in Abilene we had a sweet family from Brazil that lived near us in some apartments.  They had two precious girls and we really enjoyed getting to know them.  That neighbor shared with us a thought from Brazil that we have 100% agreed with.  I don't know if I remember it exactly but it was something like, "Anyone can have a good house, but a house is nothing without good neighbors."

We have always enjoyed our homes but they are so much better because we have wonderful neighbors.  We have known this family since we moved to Paducah.  We have a great neighborhood with friendly people!  They live a few houses down and we have spent several evenings together as well as helped each other work in yards, weather the ice storm, and watch out for each other's houses when someone is out of town.  It was a pleasure to get the opportunity to photograph their 3 year old.  I remember the week she was born and meeting her for the first time.

She was super excited about having her picture made and kept saying "I'm not done getting my pictures made yet!"  Another time I had her sitting and she said "Sara, you want me to stand up right here?"  She was just trying to help me pose her next!  I loved it and could have kept going long after we had to call it a night.

Even if we aren't always neighbor's we will always consider them friends!

I even got a hug and a kiss at the end.  Apparently that is only reserved for a few select people and I consider it an honor.  Thanks again for a fun evening!

Boys will be boys

Boys will be boys ... but we will have a good time while they do it! We had a perfect night after one of those afternoon down pours to capture these boys. They were a lot of fun and Mike kept them laughing. They were up for anything so we did lots of different things .

Here's a few of them seperately.

I loved the texture on this one. He is about to turn 13....

They were so cooperative, I was impressed! And photogenic if I do say so myself.

A little bit of fun...

Big brother got sunglasses for his birthday and his little brother begged to have a photograph of him in his sunglasses. They look pretty intimidating. :)

We were pretty much done when I grabbed this one. They were goofing off together. Little brother mimics everything his older brother does. It was pretty cute to watch.

Thanks guys for being such great subjects. We had fun!
